Carbon copy of typescript of letters written by Albert D. Putnam while a student at Cambridge University, England. The letters were addressed to his bother Lyonel, his parents, his grandmothers, his Aunt Day, and Marcella. He visited Belgium, France, and all of Great Britain. Of interest is his description of the General Strike of 1926 in England, in which the Trade Union Congress called a nation-wide walk out over miners' wages and working conditions, and his stories of crew racing on the Thames River.
